Why was I charged a different amount than the purchase made?

It is usual that some stores, such as gas stations and hotels, as a standard practice, make a value reservation, also called a pre-authorization, different from the amount of your purchase.
The store charges this amount, and Nomad cannot change it.
When the merchant completes the charge, it updates the amount charged to the right amount. The deadline depends on the store and can take a few days.
Important! Once the merchant pre-authorizes this amount, it will retain it until the completion of the final transaction. When the store approves the chargeback, Nomad will automatically provide the amount in your account again.
