What is a market order?

A market order is the purchase or sale of an asset based on the best available price for a buy or sell.

Market orders can be for whole or fractional quantities of variable-income assets. For Bonds, we can only place orders for whole units.

You can create a market order at any time, but it will be executed automatically as soon as the market opens for trading, at the price available at that moment, which may be different from the current price.
