What happens if I pay my credit card billing statement late?

When there is a delay in the payment of the credit card statement, the following charges will apply:

  • A fixed fine of 2% on the total amount of the bill
  • Late payment interest of 1% per month on the amount of the bill, proportional to the number of days late
  • Late fees of 13.99% per month on the amount of the bill, proportional to the number of days late
  • Fixed IOF of 0.38% on the total amount of the bill
  • Daily IOF of 0.0082% per month on the amount of the bill, proportional to the number of days late

Depending on the period of delay, other actions may be taken, such as temporarily blocking the card, entering the cardholder's CPF number in credit protection agencies, and canceling the card.
