What is Assist Card travel insurance?
Assist Card travel insurance is a comprehensive service designed to ensure your peace of mind and safety during domestic and international trips. It provides 24-hour support to cover a range of unforeseen events that can occur away from home, from medical issues to luggage and flight complications.
Core Coverages
Assist Card insurance provides coverage for various situations during your trip, depending on the plan purchased. The main services include:
- Medical and hospital expenses: This includes coverage for pregnant individuals up to the 28th week of pregnancy.
- Baggage issues: In the event of luggage complications, such as delivery delays or damage, Assist Card provides reimbursements and compensation, depending on the selected plan:
- Reimbursement for essential items: If the luggage is not located within 8 hours, a reimbursement for essential items of up to 200 US dollars will be provided.
- Compensation for non-location: After this initial period, tracking continues. If the luggage is not found within 96 hours of opening the claim, the passenger will receive a compensation of up to 1,200 US dollars.
- Trip cancellation and boarding delay: Certain plans include coverage for trip cancellation and boarding delays (please consult your specific plan conditions).
- Assistance for lost documents: Guidance on the necessary procedures in case of loss or theft of your documents.
Coverage Validity
Your protection begins on the start date and ends on the end date of the trip, as stipulated in your policy.
You will be covered throughout the entire period of your travel, in accordance with the terms of your plan. Should you return before the scheduled end date, the insurance coverage will automatically terminate. It is recommended that the maximum continuous period outside of Brazil does not exceed 30 consecutive days.
