What are ETFs?

ETFs are investment funds traded on stock exchanges as if they were stocks. When investing in an ETF, you buy a collection of stocks or commodities. That way, you get greater diversification and can access more restricted assets for a relatively lower amount.

Some ETFs focus on sectors like technology or finance, for example, and the returns they can bring you depend on the companies performance.
